The staff always welcome parent helpers into their classrooms. It provides a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about how your child learns and what exciting activities they are doing.
Teachers usually require assistance for reading and number activities. The teachers have all the activities planned and just require the volunteer to present the activity. Activities include listening to students read and playing learning games.
In the senior grades, volunteers are also required for travel to and from sporting venues.
To become a volunteer, you are required to obtain a volunteer number through the RTA. The school also runs a short volunteers' workshop to assist you with procedures operating within the school.
